SUPREME COURT AND VOTER IDENTIFICATION

In a six-to-three decision the Supreme Court earlier today said that a voter identification card does not violate anybody's constitutional rights. What happened to the other three Supremes?

A voter identification card is more important, in a democratic society, than the Social Security card. No legitimate voter would or should have any objection in identifying that he/she is a citizen of America when voting. If anyone is planning to commit a fraud and participate in voting then that is the person who opposes voter ID.

Similarly those who want to vote "early and often" would also have a problem.

Now, could somebody please tell justices David Souter, Stephen Breyer and Ruth Ginsburg that getting proper voter identification is not as time-consuming or difficult as getting a PhD and that those planning to vote should only be glad to prove that they are a citizen of this great country called United States.

MISLEADING VOTERS WITH NUMBERS

Presidential candidate and New York Senator Hillary Clinton yesterday told an election gathering in New Hampshire that there are 47,000,000 "uninsured" Americans. This is like saying I saw Mrs. Clinton talking to several pairs of legs.

And if I make such a statement the audience would not only laugh at me but also think that either I am crazy or under the influence of some illegal substance. But if I explained that all those pairs of legs were attached to bodies with hands and heads then you would recognize that the audience were people and while talking about people I only noticed their legs. So what Clinton said is only a part of the "health-care in America facts."

HERE IS THE TRUTH. THESE "ESTIMATED-47" MILLION PEOPLE ARE NOT SICK, THEY DO NOT HAVE "HEALTH INSURANCE." AND MANY OF THEM CHOSE TO SPEND THEIR MONEY FOR SOMETHING ELSE. WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT IS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT GET SICK EVERY YEAR AND CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY.

Candidates for politicsl offices never tell you the truth about anything, but rather would arouse your emotions to such an extent that you would want to lynch their opponents immediately, even without a trial.

The most important fact about the availability of essential health-care is that in almost every state in the country hospitals cannot deny care for the sick. So here are some truths about health-care and "the uninsured:"

(1) According the Census Bureau, as of this moment - 6.10 p.m. on January 6, 2008 - the population of the United States is 303,183,756 and that means there are 256,283,756 people who are insured. That is 85% of the population and that is good news.

(2) Such is the arousal and desire for promise of "freebies" and inability to distinguish between facts and fiction among many Americans at these emotionally-charged political events that even if Clinton told the audience that there are 470,000,000 uninsured Americans most of them wouldn't even figure out that it might take another 10 years or more for the country to have a population of 470 million!

(3) The most important feature about death in America is that we seldom hear about people dying for lack of health insurance. But thousands die every day from auto accidents and hundreds die at the hands of criminals unleashed into the streets by our criminal industry. Mrs. Clinton seems to have no concern about real death of "the American people."

The real number that scares those who pay taxes is 23-million which is the total number of bureaucrats - all those working for different forms of governments - and the number 3-4 TRILLION which is the amount of dollars every year we Americans spend to pay and care for these "fully-insured" privileged Americans.

If we really want to solve most of our problems which require government solution, we have to recognize that we have an excess four million bureaucrats in America, and if we can eliminate this number by attrition and reducing the size of government we should be able to pay for health-insurance for those who really need it.

So I want all you political candidates with scary-statistics to promise to trim the size of obese governments throughout America and then ask for our votes.

Get a grip on facts and figures and TELL US THE TRUTH.
